Everyone wants their life to "count." We want our lives to matter. Think about it; we make lots of sacrifices to make a living, pursue that significant other, potentially have some kids and make our mark in this life. There seems to be a lot of blood, sweat, and tears involved. But how do we measure our success? How can we know that we are living a life that will make a difference? What if all the "ladder climbing" we've done in life has been pointless because our ladder has been on the wrong wall? Good news for you, there is a way you can know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that your life can have significance! You can live a life worth living! How? Join us for our new series this January - Life Worth Living.
Sermon Title: Live AS Leaders
John 10:10 - 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
Live FOR Jesus
Live IN Community
Live ON Mission
Live AS Leaders
Quote “To be a part of a local church is to be a part of a leadership community. God’s Church is leading the world out of the kingdom of darkness and into the mercy and grace of the Kingdom of God.” Kevin Peck
Quote “a complete immersion in an activity for its own sake. The ego falls away. Time flies. Every action, movement, and thought follows inevitably from the previous one… Your whole being is involved, and you’re using your skills to the utmost”. Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
1 Peter 4:7 - 7 The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.
Ephesians 5:18 - 8 for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light
Galatians 5:22-23 - 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
Lead with God’s Grace
1 Peter 4:8 - 8 Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.
1 Peter 4:9 - 9 Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.
Lead through God’s Gift for God’s Glory
1 Peter 4:10-11- 10As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: 11whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Quote - “Expect great things from God and attempt great things for God.” William Carey
Book of the Month
Quote “My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I cannot see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But, I believe that . . . you will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it. Therefore, I will trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me and you will never leave me to face my perils alone” Thomas Merton
