As soon as you hear the word "saint," I bet you begin to imagine very holy people. Perhaps they are so holy that their feet never touch the ground, right? Maybe a saint is a very religious person who has separated themselves completely from the world around them. What if the bible had something totally different in mind when it calls people saints? What if a saint is just a person who lives out everyday life, you know, real relationships, finances, jobs, emotions - the normal things of life in extraordinary ways? Curious? Come and join us as we discover what it takes to be an Everyday Saint. You may be surprised! Everyday Saints: April 12th - July 5th
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.
yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.
For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you. For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness. Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.
