Title                     Participation & Order

1 Corinthians 14:26 - 26What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.

1 Corinthians 14:27-28 -  27If any speak in a tongue, let there be only two or at most three, and each in turn, and let someone interpret. 28But if there is no one to interpret, let each of them keep silent in church and speak to himself and to God.

1 Corinthians 14:29-32 - 29Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said. 30If a revelation is made to another sitting there, let the first be silent. 31For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all be encouraged, 32and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets.

Liturgy = “the work of the people”

1 Corinthians 14:33a - 33For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.

As in all the churches of the saints,

Ephesians 2:13-16 -  13But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility 15by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, 16and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.

1 Corinthians 14:33b-34 - 33For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.

As in all the churches of the saints, 34the women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says.

1 Corinthians 14:28 -  28But if there is no one to interpret, let each of them keep silent in church and speak to himself and to God.

1 Corinthians 14:30 - 30If a revelation is made to another sitting there, let the first be silent.

1 Corinthians 14:26 - 26What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.

Hebrews 12:2 - 26What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.

1 Corinthians 14:35 -  35If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.

1 Corinthians 14:36 - 36Or was it from you that the word of God came? Or are you the only ones it has reached?

1 Corinthians 14:37-38 -  37If anyone thinks that he is a prophet, or spiritual, he should acknowledge that the things I am writing to you are a command of the Lord. 38If anyone does not recognize this, he is not recognized.

2 Peter 1:19-21 - 19And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, 20knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. 21For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 14:39 - 39So, my brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues

1 Corinthians 14:40 -  40But all things should be done decently and in order.

1 Corinthians 14:26 - 26What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.
