It's that time of year again...the holidays. Although this is, and should be, a time of great joy and celebration, it's often a season that leaves us frustrated, in debt and depressed. Tis the season...for those yearly battles with our families. Tis the season...for overindulgence; leaving us feeling over weight, over spent and over committed. Tis the season...for discontentment. Where CAN we find joy in this holiday season? Join us for "Tis The Season".
November 17th - December 15th.
I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity. Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.
Exodus 20:17 (ESV) - “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s.”
Exodus 20:3 (ESV) - "You shall have no other gods before me."
Philippians 4:11-13 (ESV) - Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.
I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
