Easter 2017

Easter 2017

Speaker: Pastor Ty Neal
Date: April 16, 2017

Easter at Grace Point Church: Hope is an interesting word. We hope for all sorts of things in our lives. We hope our team wins, our jobs continue, our marriages survive and thrive, our kids remain safe. Honestly, we do a lot of hoping. When we start to look at hope, hope as we know it, we see that our hope at times is uncertain. What we hope for may never happen. The reality is, hope may remain elusive if it is not anchored in something beyond ourselves and our situations. Join us as we discover this Easter that Jesus lived, died, and now lives to secure for us, not wishful thinking, but a living hope that never fails.

1 Corinthians 15:1-2 - 1 Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:3 - 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures,

1 Corinthians 15:4a - 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,

1 Corinthians 15:4b - 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,

1 Corinthians 15:5 - 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

1 Corinthians 15:12-19 - 12 Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. 15 We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.

1 Corinthians 15:15 - 15 We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised.

1 Corinthians 15:17 - 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.

Romans 3:23 - 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

1 Corinthians 15:14 -14 And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:19-20 - 15 We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised.
20 But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

1 Corinthians 15:1-2 - 1 Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
